Carrie is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar. She works with clients aged 7+ years, adolescents and adults. She has experience supporting clients of all ages through concerns ranging from Emotional Disorders (including Anxiety, Depression and Emotional Regulation difficulties), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Grief and Loss, Chronic Health Conditions and Neurodivergence-related concerns.
Carrie believes all people can thrive when they are supported to recognise and build on their strengths, increasing awareness, understanding and acceptance of their individual differences, developing resilience to face challenges and to pursue meaningful lives in sustainable ways. Carrie recognises that human experience always occurs within a context of an individual’s own biology, their personality, thought processes and beliefs, the wider social environment around them, and their historical experiences. She takes a holistic perspective that explores, acknowledges and incorporates the wider context of people’s lives.

Carrie is a warm and compassionate psychologist who works collaboratively with clients using a person-centred approach to create a safe and supportive therapy environment. She has a particular interest in men’s mental health and in working with adolescents and young adults. Carrie practises from a neurodiversity-affirming approach with children, adolescents and adults. She is committed to using evidence-based approaches and staying up to date with current research and clinical recommendations.

- Distress and Emotional Regulation Difficulties: Supporting people across the lifespan to better cope emotionally during distressing experiences while building skills to manage future challenges adaptively. This often includes developing social problem-solving and emotional regulation skills.
- Depression and School/Work-related Stress: Supporting people across the lifespan to reduce depressive symptoms and stress related to school, work and relationships, while building wellbeing and resilience skills for the future.
- Grief, Loss and Adjustment Difficulties: Supporting people across the lifespan to navigate and adjust to experiences of loss and grief, including those related to bereavement, job loss and changes in health.
- Parenting and Attachment: Supporting parents and carers to grow and thrive in their roles of raising children and adolescents, particularly in the context of anxiety disorders.
- School Can’t (“School Avoidance/School Refusal”): Helping parents, carers and young people explore and understand difficulties related to attending school, and developing approaches tailored to their individual needs.
- Neurodivergence and Disability-related Concerns: Carrie has many years of experience working with people living with acquired brain injuries, disabilities and neurodevelopmental differences. Her work has included supporting individual clients, parents, carers and school staff.
