Private & Medicare Fees
We accept Medicare rebates for clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) referral from their GP or psychiatrist. Rebate amounts are set by Medicare and the out-of-pocket cost below is the gap our clients pay after the rebate. Payment is made in full, up front at the time of the appointment; the rebate is received afterwards.
| Session | Registered Psychologist Fee | Medicare Rebate | Out of Pocket | Clinical Psychologist Fee | Medicare Rebate | Out of Pocket |
| Standard (60 min) | $230.00 | $101.55 | $128.45 | $285.00 | $149.05 | $135.95 |
| Long (90 min) | $345.00 | $101.55 | $243.45 | $427.50 | $149.05 | $278.45 |
| Under 18 | $250.00 | $101.55 | $148.45 | $305.00 | $149.05 | $155.95 |

Cancellation Policy
Appointments that are cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment time, or non-attended, are subject to a $100 attendance fee; Monday appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled by 12pm midday the previous Friday. Multiple late cancellations accrue the full missed session fee.

MCHP Limits
A client is eligible for 10 MHCP appointments with a Medicare rebate each year; this is typically in a ‘bucket’ of 6 appointments, followed by another 4 after a GP re-referral letter.

Other Services
Please note that we do not conduct medico-legal assessments and report requests may not be accepted. Tasks psychologists agree to complete outside of sessions will be billed pro-rata at the above rates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
How much will I get back from Medicare?
What's the difference between a Registered Psychologist and a Clinical Psychologist?
Can I use private health insurance instead of Medicare?
Yes. If you have appropriate extras cover, you can claim through your private health fund instead of Medicare. You cannot claim both for the same session — it’s one or the other.
As the reimbursement amount and number of sessions vary depending on private health fund and level of cover, we encourage people to reach out to their health fund directly to get information regarding what they are eligible for.
Do you see DVA, ADF, WorkCover, NDIS or EAP clients?
Yes, we accept referrals under DVA, ADF, WorkCover/CTP/LSA, NDIS, and a number of EAP programs. Fees vary by pathway — get in touch and we can confirm the cost for your referral type. If your provider or scheme isn’t listed, please contact us to check.
What if I can't afford the out-of-pocket cost?
We are a private psychology practice with all appointments being fee-for-service. Unfortunately, unlike GP practices, psychology does not receive any government incentives or further funding to provide bulk billing or reduced-fee services; this means that we are not able to provide ‘Bulk Billing’ or concession rates at this time.
If you’re wanting psychological support but are experiencing financial difficulties, you’re welcome to contact our friendly team to ask about other government-funded or NGO-funded services that may be appropriate for you.
